Salvation through Christ
The Bible is very clear. No one is saved by works or by faith and works in any dispensation. The Bible is so simple and clear, you can’t miss it unless you have already decided you don’t want to listen to the scriptures. No one is saved by faith and keeping the law in any dispensation. To be a bible believer you must simply believe what the bible says and not seek to contradict what it clearly and simply says.
When the Bible says, “there is none righteous”, there is NONE Righteous. Now if you try and go to contradict this scripture verse by trying to find and twist the scripture then you are not a bible believer you are a bible corrector! It does not matter what you think, it only matters what the bible says. It does not matter one bit how you feel about it, the Bible is always right and there are no contradictions in the Bible.
When the Bible says there is NONE Righteous then there is none righteous. When the Bible clearly says over and over again that the law saves no man, that by keeping the law no man is saved, then it means exactly that.
You can look up every scripture that you think that mentions works and twist that to mean that works saves but it is not true. You say that you read the bible and believe it but that is not true when you clearly try to contradict what it clearly says and try to find exceptions to it.
You may say that you are a bible believer but then you deny what the bible clearly teaches!
The Bible says that no one is saved by keeping the law, but you say that you can be saved by keeping the law. You have denied the bible! Galatians 3:11, 2:16,21, Romans.3:20.
The bible says that none is righteous enough to go to heaven because ALL OUR righteousness’s are filthy rags! But you say that the righteousness obtained through the law is enough to get a lost soul to heaven! You have denied the bible. Isaiah 64:6.Hebrews 7:19.
The Bible says righteousness does not come by the law, but you say that righteousness does come by the law! You have denied the bible! Romans 4:5-7.
You say that a man is saved in the Old Testament under the law by faith and works, but the Bible says that even David knew it was not the law and faith but the mercy and grace of God he needed. You have denied the bible. David sought for the righteousness of God not his own righteousness under the law! Psa 51. Romans .3:28.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
When the scripture clearly declares “that no man is justified by the law” then that should settle it. No man means no man is justified by the law at any time!
The Bible says that righteousness cannot come to anyone by the keeping of the law.
Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
When the scripture clearly says: “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall NO FLESH by justified in his sight” It is clear and plain what it means.
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Act 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
Act 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Only believing in Christ can bring forgiveness of sins, something that the law could not do. For “all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags”!
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
When you contradict these verses and seek exceptions to the clear and plain Word of God you are not a Bible believer you are a bible corrector!
The Bible says, “that a man is not justified by the works of the law”. Do you think that Paul was wrong? Do you think he didn’t know what he was saying? Is this scripture wrong? Is God wrong?
Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
So both the law and the prophets testified that there was NO justification THROUGH the law!
The law made nothing and no one perfect!
Heb 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
The righteousness of God without the law is witnessed by in the Old testament by the prophets. Now what prophets is he talking about?
ALL THE PROPHETS GIVE WITNESS TO CHRIST AND TO SALVATION THROUGH BELIEVING IN HIM!
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 4:5-7 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Romans 4:15-16. Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 4:22-24. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
There is a difference between the righteousness under the law and the only righteousness that can save, the imputed righteousness of Christ by faith alone.
Php 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Rom 10:3-4 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth
The righteousness of the law is not the righteousness of Christ. The problem that Israel had was that they tried to establish their own righteousness by keeping the law instead of submitting themselves to the only righteousness that can save, the righteousness of Christ.
2.Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
THAT’S THE LAW! THE LAW CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY SINS!
Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God
The sacrifice of Christ was once offered forever to pay for sins. That means the sins now in our time, the sins of those in the Old Testament and for those in the future too. It was one offering Forever!
While a Christian is not saved by. “Works,” he is to be rewarded for his “works.” “For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father, with His angels; and then He shall reward every man ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS.” Matthew 16:27. Believers will be rewarded at the “Judgment Seat of Christ.” “For we (Believers) must all appear before the ‘Judgment Seat of Christ;’ that every one may receive the things DONE IN HIS BODY (that is while he was alive), according to that he hath done, whether it be GOOD or BAD.” 2 Corinthians 5:10.
The character of these works must be Christian. “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST. Now if any man build upon this foundation (with) gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day (Judgment Day) shall declare it, because it shall be revealed BY FIRE; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a REWARD. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer LOSS; but he himself SHALL BE SAVED; yet so as by fire.” 1 Corinthians 3:11-15.
What about some of the verses that talk about works?
Revelation 20:6 KJV Judged by THEIR WORKS „And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
This passage of scripture is about the great white throne judgement. This is a judgement of the unsaved, God will judge the unsaved by their works and their destination in hell will be determined by their works. Not only the works that they did as far as they law, but also that they refused to believe the work of God by believing the gospel.
But no one is saved at this judgement! No one! We know this because their names were not written in the book of life.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
In these verses it is not talking about works for salvation at all! It is the Lord coming back for His own and the rewards that we will receive at the judgement seat of Christ. It the promise reaffirmed to the believer that He is coming back, and faithful service will be rewarded. Salvation is not a reward, it is a gift by the Grace and mercy of God.
Eph 2:8-9. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The believer will be judged for their works and their service for the Lord.
1.Corinthinans 3:13-15. Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
The unbeliever will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgement as to their works in NOT believing the gospel and rejecting salvation through faith in Christ.
John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Salvation is in Christ alone, through faith alone, to all that believe.
